Come out and train in the German art of Longsword during the Wed class. The curriculum is based on the historical manuals of the medieval masters, taught in the comprehensive Conceptual Learning Method developed by Matt Powell of Pramek.
Initially we focus on teaching fundamental techniques as a means of explaining the underlying principles with focus on practical application.
After learning the core mechanics in a hands on manner we begin to focus more on the strategy of swordsmanship, and how to control your opponent's options and adapt instantly.
Ringen (wrestling) and Dolchfechten (dagger fighting)
Thurs evenings you can come out and practice the art of medieval grappling based on the teachings of the medieval masters. This fun and practical style of unarmed combat is the groundwork for wrestling with weapons and leads naturally into dagger fighting.
After over a decade of unarmed combat training, the instructors have formatted the class around teaching in the most direct, engaging and practical manner possible. combining practice of execution with solid explanations of body mechanics so you learn not only how something is done, but why it works, and how to modify and improvise an action to the situation.
